The Social Democratic Liberal Party (SODELPA) Youth Wing today convened its Special Annual General Meeting (AGM) under the powerful theme “Voices of Power, Voices of Change — SODELPA Youth Leading the Way.”

The gathering celebrated the energy, courage, and leadership of Fiji’s young people — a generation ready to shape the nation’s direction through action, vision, and unity. The theme reflects SODELPA’s commitment to nurturing young leaders whose voices drive transformation across Fiji’s communitie
In his address, the SODELPA Party Leader emphasized the importance of youth participation in shaping national direction, stating that “our young people are not just the future — they are the voice of today, the energy that drives our democracy, and the power that will move this country.”

The AGM also provided a platform for youth members from across Fiji to discuss pressing issues affecting them — from employment, education, and climate resilience to cultural identity and political empowerment. Resolutions passed at the meeting will guide the Youth Wing’s strategic programs in the lead-up to the 2026 General Election.

SODELPA reaffirmed its commitment to empowering young leaders, ensuring their voices are heard in policy-making and party governance. The Party believes that when youth rise together with courage and conviction, they can “shake the ground and move the country.”
