Tourism and Civil Aviation are sectors that, for many of our people, remain vital sources of opportunity—providing accessibility, connectivity, and uplifting the lives of thousands of Fijian families. These industries continue to drive investments in infrastructure, utilities, and local businesses, contributing significantly to national development.

Guided by the Social Democratic Liberal Party (SODELPA) Manifesto, the focus remains on building a people-centered economy—one that empowers local communities, supports indigenous participation, and ensures that the benefits of tourism and aviation are shared equitably across the country.

In an increasingly uncertain global environment, Fiji stands firm as a nation known for its stability, safety, and goodwill. Our country has long been recognised as a welcoming and peaceful destination—an identity that is both valuable and worth protecting.

It is therefore essential that we continue to share Fiji’s story with the world: a nation where visitors are welcomed in peace, where communities are secure, and where the spirit of hospitality remains strong and genuine.

In line with the SODELPA Manifesto, there is a strong commitment to sustainable tourism development, protection of cultural heritage, and strengthening national identity. This includes ensuring that development respects traditional land ownership, uplifts rural communities, and creates long-term opportunities for future generations.

Initiatives that promote the Pacific as an Ocean of Peace reflect the core values that define us as a people. They also strengthen global confidence in Fiji as a trusted and reliable destination for travellers and international partners alike.
