SODELPA recognises that agriculture and food security are the foundation of Fiji’s economy and community well-being. The Party is committed to revitalising the agriculture sector, protecting our waterways, and ensuring every Fijian family has access to affordable, nutritious, and locally produced food.
Through targeted investment and sustainable management, SODELPA aims to build a resilient agricultural system that supports farmers, safeguards the environment, and strengthens national food security.
Background
In September 2022, SODELPA pledged an investment of $224 million into the agriculture sector if elected. This commitment outlined key strategies to boost farmer support, modernise production, and enhance Fiji’s agricultural value chain.
As SODELPA prepares for the 2026 General Election, the Party continues to renew and strengthen its platform to meet the evolving needs of Fijian farmers and rural communities.

Looking Ahead
SODELPA’s renewed 2026 Manifesto will continue to build on these priorities, ensuring that every Fijian farmer has the tools, support, and security needed to succeed. Through strategic investment, partnership, and sustainable management of our natural resources, SODELPA envisions a thriving agriculture sector that sustains families, communities, and the nation.
