OUR PLAN

SODELPA 2026 ELECTION PLAN

Our Vision: A Fiji for All

SODELPA envisions a Fiji where every citizen — iTaukei, Indo-Fijian, Rotuman, Banaban, Chinese, and all other communities — stand equal in dignity, opportunity, and hope.
Our mission is to unite Fiji under the values of faith, freedom, and fairness, where leadership is built on compassion, transparency, and service to the people.

As we prepare for the 2026 General Election, SODELPA is renewing its commitment to build a nation that reflects our shared values — one that protects our culture, strengthens our democracy, and ensures a prosperous future for generations to come.

🎯 Strategic Goals for the 2026 Election

Our plan for 2026 is bold, people-focused, and forward-looking.
SODELPA aims to secure an outright majority in Parliament — not merely to participate in governance, but to lead it with integrity and inclusiveness.

To achieve this, our strategy focuses on six key pillars:

Organizational Strengthening

  • Establish strong, transparent party structures across all divisions.
  • Rebuild trust through active consultation with communities and local branches.
  • Recruit and train competent and principled leaders who represent the voice of every Fijian.

2. People-Driven Manifesto

  • Develop a policy platform grounded in listening to the people — village by village, town by town.
  • Prioritize bread-and-butter issues such as employment, education, agriculture, housing, and healthcare.

Address national unity, indigenous affairs, youth empowerment, and gender equality.

3. Strengthening Agriculture and Rural Development 🌾

  • Revitalize Fiji’s agriculture sector as the backbone of our economy and food security.
  • Empower farmers through access to land, finance, training, and modern technology.
  • Support sustainable farming practices, crop diversification, and climate-resilient production.
  • Strengthen value chains — from farm to market — ensuring fair returns for farmers and expanding export opportunities.

Promote rural infrastructure (roads, storage, water, energy) to uplift village livelihoods and reduce urban migration.

4 .Economic Transformation

  • Promote policies that create jobs, empower small and medium enterprises, and attract responsible investment.
  • Encourage sustainable use of natural resources, especially in fisheries, forestry, and renewable energy.

Support fair wages, innovation, and the digital economy as drivers of inclusive growth.

5. Social Cohesion and Cultural Respect

  • Safeguard the cultural heritage, land, and traditions of all Fijian communities — iTaukei, Indo-Fijian, Rotuman, Banaban, Chinese, and others — with equal respect for every faith and culture.
  • Strengthen social protection systems for the elderly, people with disabilities, and low-income families.

Encourage a culture of mutual respect, tolerance, and peace across all ethnic and religious lines.

6. Youth, Education & Future Leadership

  • Invest in quality education, vocational training, and digital literacy to equip young people for the future.
  • Encourage youth participation in policy development and governance.
  • Build a new generation of leaders grounded in integrity, service, and national pride.

Governance and Party Direction

  1.

Under new leadership and renewed energy, SODELPA is strengthening its internal mechanisms through:

  • Dedicated Committees in fundraising, human resources, policy, and electoral strategy.
  • Transparent processes for candidate selection and manifesto drafting.
  • Stronger accountability measures to ensure ethical conduct and responsible leadership.

We are committed to operating as an independent, united, and people-first political movement that listens and delivers.

Our National Priorities

In 2026 and beyond, SODELPA will champion:

  • A just economy that reduces inequality and uplifts rural and maritime communities.
  • Affordable education and healthcare for every Fijian family.
  • Clean and safe communities through climate resilience and environmental care.
  • Respect for the Vanua, Lotu, and Matanitu as the three pillars of Fijian society — balanced within a modern democratic framework.

A Call to Serve

As we move toward 2026, SODELPA calls upon all citizens who believe in our vision to step forward.
Together, we can restore dignity in leadership, rebuild trust in government, and rekindle the spirit of unity and progress that defines our nation.

If you believe in service, honesty, and the strength of our people — join us.
Stand with SODELPA. Stand for Fiji. 🇫🇯
